Why do you make your products in Canada as a USA Company?
Discover why we produce our pet foods in Canada—U.S. pet food relies on factory-farmed, reclaimed meats & carb-heavy diets. We refuse to compromise on quality. Learn why sourcing globally is essential for premium, human-grade pet nutrition.

We produce our pet foods at co-manufacturers in Canada because the U.S. pet food industry is dominated by factory farming & reclaimed meats. Not to mention diets are carb heavy to support the potato, pea & legume lobby. For the past four years, we’ve explored moving production to the U.S., but it has proven impossible to our high standards. We refuse to cheapen the unique quality characteristics of our products & we shouldn’t be forced to do this. We have a new lower quality, value brand planned with dry dog foods in Red Rabbit but it takes time to get those new American made products to market.
Our identity recipes use human-grade cuts of meat, poultry, and fish—such as breast, loin, and filet—not reclaimed meat deemed inedible for human consumption, which is common in American pet food. After speaking with U.S. manufacturers capable of producing our foods, we found they only work with mechanically deboned or mechanically separated meat (MDM/MSM).
Here are examples of how MDM/MSM meat is processed (video's may be graphic to some viewers):
The reality is companies focused on the identity of their ingredients must source globally to produce pet foods with quality ingredients! Producing free-range, grass-fed, hormone & antibiotic-free, GMO-free & glyphosate-free products in America isn’t a current reality.
Our business is based on education & now it’s imperative we educate on the realities of why a global economy is necessary for consumer choice & opportunity.
